@ShiftyJedi I'm not saying their overall downfall. But losing one of your best players at that stage in the playoffs was awful. The Isles would have had a better shot at the Cup that year with Turgeon. Yes, it was simply a shoulder check, one that the recipient had no idea was coming or had time to brace for. I think the celebration argument is a little silly. Hunter was pissed that he just fucked up big time turning the puck over, and hit the closest thing in white.

continued, I understand Islanders fans hate it, because it was the end of the line. The Rangers would win the cup soon after, and the team would be irrelevant. To blame that check on the Isle downfall is stupid. It's still not even top 10 dirty hits and for Hunter it's behind the Gord Murphy check. The check on Turgeon wasn't overly brutal if it wasn't after the whistle it would have been a run of the mill shoulder check. It was a freak separated shoulder. Let it Go!

I made the video, the tag line is "What if Hunter didn't finish his check". Why are you taking my comments so seriously? The problem is that you are grouping me with 123torrent or RCampbell to some extent. Hunter was handed a huge suspension and it was fair. Hunter blew a gasket, but it was excessive since the game was already over (history). I don't blame Turgeon for scoring, but he didn't have put that much passion in something that was all but decided already.

@ShiftyJedi Your previous comments seem pretty serious. It was an exciting goal in the PLAYOFFS that sealed the deal. Professional athletes like Hunter should learn to control their emotions. That's ridiculous and cost the Isles big time later that Spring.

your stretching out what would be defense of the act. I merely suggested that Turgeon was excessive when celebrating a game that was already in the books. A player like Dale Hunter might take it personally. My point later on that I commented on, is that people should shut up, when telling athletes to do something about it. I referred to it as a cheap-shot in the description of the video. You do realize the video is satire right?
