The Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS captured my imagination as a 15 year old in 1987. All I knew is that if a bad ass like Earnhardt drove one, I wanted one too. I've had a Monte Carlo in my garage ever since.

@Antonio88870 I know that, but I'm not talking about Copa Montana. There was a series placed here in Ceara (and, I think, in every state of Brazil, being part of the old Chevrolet Challenge, in which Opala and Omega Stock Car were placed) named Copa Corsa. The two first seasons were sponsored by Chevrolet; after that, they left the series.

@TheHm3 Senna never raced in Indy, just in formula one, the guy in the picture is Emerson Fittipaldi, another Brazilian who became a legend (he is alive but is legend!) In which the car is Fittipaldi has the same paint because his team was the sponsor Marlboro, just like the old McLaren at the time of Senna.
Marlboro was the same painting to painting the Gulf, several cars of several different motor racing Tiam, exect the fact that the painting of Marlboro was only used in racing formula.

@ninosummersthe race shown in the video is not the Copa corsa, but the copa montana pickup derived from the agile, successor to the corsa.
the copa montana wore the old version of Montana, but after the release of new version, changed the old with the new.

Wow! I'm glad they mentioned Opala's Stock Car from Brazil! Remembering that the series was sponsored only by Chevrolet (racing later with Omega, Vectra, Astra and the current model of Vectra). And in my county, there was a series sponsored by GM, the Copa Corsa.
Beside the fact that I was born in a golden Chevette '80.
Congratulations, Chevy. Brazil salutes you, too.
I can't believe it. this is the first time Chevrolet USA has acknowledged their success with the Cruze in WTCC.

Good, Corvette Racing is getting a new C6.R for 2012 and a C7.R by 2014. C'mon Corvette Racing! WIN 2012 ALMS and Le Mans! Dominate like the C6.R dominated GT1! It felt as if they were slacking off this year, they better pick up the pace next year because it seems to me like they forgot the quote "Behind every great Corvette, there's a BMW". Do they think it's the other way around?
