The Scarborough Spa Express, Tuesday 28th July 2009

today I didn't just get the normal 1 shot of the Scarborough Spa, i got three! this weeks trains were hauled once again by Ian Riley's Black Five 45407, hauling the weeks trips from York to Scarborough Via Knaresborough and Leeds

in this video we see the Black Five arrive at Leeds Station, a new location for me dispite living in the City! we see the 5MT arrive, followed by a shot from on Board a Trans Pennine 185 DMU heading for York, the site of my Next Shot, we see 45407 arrive, then followed with the slightly de-layed departure for Scarborough.
The we move on to the return trip, where we head to Colton Junction, and just as we arrived it starting to pour down with heavy rain, luckily we weren't there for long as 45407 came on time, and is seen speeding towards Leeds into the rain
a possible 4th shot, filmed from the car of 45407 in between garforth and cross gates from the M1, how ever due to the rain i didn't wined down the window and get the inside of the car soaked or damage my camera, how ever it was a fantastic experiance to be alongside a steam train at speed from a car
thanks to my dad for the money to get me to york, and also for the lift to colton junction and taking the photos

thanks mate, the scarborough spa starts in york, then heads to Knaresborough, then onto Leeds, then back to york and on to scarborough, funny that a tour goes into the same place twice on the same leg of the trip haha
