OK sao if the Earth isn't spinning how do we explain vortices? Every fluid partially held at rest on the surface of the Earth by opposing forces such as gravity and upthrust exhibit a vortex; from the water released from our baths, to plasma of our fires and the air in our weather system. There is also the little matter of the pendulum which when freely suspended traces out a sequence straight line projections on the ground which describe a disk over a 24 hour period instead of a single line!
