Rowan Rafferty, Community Activist involved in GetUp! - The Inquiry 23.10.03

GetUp! Australia describes itself as an independent, grass-roots community advocacy organisation giving everyday Australians opportunities to get involved and hold politicians accountable on important issues.

Their latest campaign is called ReEnergize Australia and is about calling on the Government to invest in renewable energy to cut emissions and create clean jobs.

The Inquiry's guest is a community activist, and a campaigner as part of the ReEnergize Australia initiative, Rowan Rafferty

Australia's concerned and intelligent people who have made so many discoveries and contributions towards reducing the global warming threat, have such an unenlightened government. For instance, Sliver Technology, invented by scientists at the National University, has had almost no support and is now to be made commercial by Germany. We will be buying Sliver Photovoltaic Panels from Germany instead of selling them to them.
