A Jonas Brothers Love Story Chapter 85

**Last chapter, Kat had her surgery and came out of it fine, Kevin went in to talk to her. And Nick asked the doctor to check Aly's heart for the same problem that Regina and Kat had had. The doctor did the surgery and then came out of the room and apologized to Nick. Why did he? Read on to find out!**

Nick: Sir, please tell me that this nurse is not telling me the truth!
Doctor: I'm afraid I can't say that.
Nick: But... that can't be true!
Doctor: I'm afraid it is.
Mrs. Burke: *comes hurtling around the corner* Is the operation done?
Doctor: Yes, but I'm afraid there was a complication.
Mrs. Burke: *freezes* complication? What kind of complication?
Doctor: During surgery she began to bleed out....
Mrs. Burke: YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER?!
Doctor: No miss please calm down. She's alive, she just needs several blood transfusions in order to stay alive.
Mrs. Burke: Then what are you doing waiting out here?
Nick: *actually about to cry* This nurse just told me that they can't find any donors with her blood type!
Mrs. Burke: *bursts into tears* NO!
Doctor: I would like to check you and her friends to see if any of you is a match.
Nick: Will she survive that long?
Doctor: Most likely. I have my most experienced nurses and doctors keeping her stable.
Nick: Then we need to hurry.

Doctor: Three of you have her exact blood type.
Nick: WHO?
Doctor: You ---
Nick: I'LL DONATE MY BLOOD FOR HER! LET'S GO!
Doctor: She need more than we will be able to get from you and keep you alive.
Nick: Who else?
Doctor: Regina.
Regina: I'll donate. I'll donate as much as I can.
Doctor: And... Dean.
Dean: *having just arrived before the blood tests. He was still faintly white from the needles* I'll do anything I can for my sister.
Doctor: Follow me. *he leads them into a room that Aly was already in, passed out on her bed* Please, up on the beds the three of you. *they all get up and lie down on their beds*

Aly: *opens her eyes*
Doctor: Aly? Can you hear me Aly?
Aly: *groans as a bright light shines in her eyes and she shuts them fast* Yes.
Doctor: Open your eyes Aly. I need to check to make sure you are healthy.
Aly: Yes sir. *opens her eyes* How long was I out for?
Doctor: Only a few hours.
Aly: That's not that bad. *follows all the doctor's instructions for him to check to make sure she is okay now*
Doctor: Everything seems to be in order. Your friends and family are waiting outside. Would you like me to tell them only one at a time?
Aly: No. They can all come in. Just tell them to keep it quiet please.
Doctor: *smiles at Aly* I will. *walks out and a few seconds later Regina, Joe, Mrs. Burke, Dean and Nick walk in*
Aly: Hi guys! Hey Dean, you don't look so good.
Dean: Yeah. Needles do that to me.
Aly: Needles? I'm the one that needed surgery and your complaining about needles?
Dean: Well yeah... the blood transfusion.
Aly: *confused* What transfusion?
Regina: You lost a lot of blood during the operation. You needed a couple of transfusions to survive.
Aly: *looks around at them all* A few? Who else?
Regina: Me.
Aly: *smiles at her*
Nick: *paler than the other two* And me.
Aly: Nick, you don't look so good.
Nick: I'm fine. Now that you are. *looks at Mrs. Burke, who gets the idea*
Mrs. Burke: I think I'll call your father to tell him that you are okay. *walks out*
Dean: Oh... I think I need some fresh air.... *walks out*
Regina: I need to sit down. *puts her hand to her forehead*
Joe: I'm glad you're okay Aly.... *puts his arm around Regina's waist firmly to keep her on her feet* There's a bench out here. *walks her out*
Nick: *sits down next to Aly and takes her hand* You're all better? You swear? Nothing at all wrong?
Aly: *smiles* I swear Nick.
Nick: Good. *leans closer and kisses her* I would never have been able to forgive myself if you died.
Aly: It wouldn't have been your fault.
Nick: I asked for you to have the surgery. It would have been my fault if you hadn't made it. *kisses her forehead*
Aly: But I'm fine Nick. No need to worry anymore.
Nick: I know. *pushes her hair behind her ear. Strokes her cheeks*
Aly: *closes her eyes and sighs*
Nick: I think you need sleep Aly. *kisses her forehead again* I'll wait for you to wake up.
Aly: Don't you dare go anywhere.
Nick: Never. *starts running his fingers along her arms as she falls asleep* I would never leave you.
