  • what a beautiful airplane

  • great airplane .. good music, nice views

  • This glider looks like a lot of fun to fly; resembles my electric RC gliders in concept which uses LiPoly batteries. Too bad the wing span, I fly a C152 out of El Monte; runway width is 75 ft; Antare's wings are 65 ft.

  • Really nice, the view from the wing to the cockpit how do you make that?

  • Spanweite bei der Antares 20E = 20m

gibts auch zb. als Antares 18S = 18m

  • wie groß ist die Flügelspannweite?????

  • The "dollar", or $, is the official currency in the US.

The "euro", or €, is the official currency of the countries in the European Union.

This glider is made in Germany which is a member of the European Union so the price is listed in euros.

Which ever currency you pay with, this glider is going to be expensive.

153,000 euros is equal to about 214,000 dollars right now.

    save your pennies;-)

  • you do mean by euro your saying euro dollars

  • I really, really want one of these. The last price I saw was 153.000 Euros, though, so not this year at least :).

  • Fascinating video. Filmed during a scheduled show, instead of a soaring race, it barely begins to explore the capabilities of any sailplane. This sailplane, motor off, will be able to race or set records quite easily. This video attempts to show how well the Antares handles and how well the propulsion system works. It seems like a fantastic self-launch sailplane.
