The Magic Cloak of Oz is a 1914 adaptation of L. Frank Baum's "Queen Zixi of Ix." The film was produced by Baum's Oz Film Manufacturing Company.
The source is a recent release by Warner Brothers. The music is by Kevin MacLeod from http://www.incompetech.com. The film is public domain, and Warner Brothers did not add a copyright notice on their transfer.
@ziggycat999 Do your research ziggycat... all the books in the series were immensely popular and sold well. Further, Baum is not only famous for having written the Oz books, he was also an actor, a playwright, a screenwriter, a newspaper editor and film maker. Oz as well as his contribution to the literary world were already on the map LONG begore MGM decided to make their 1939 musical. And they did so precisely BECAUSE his work was so popular and well known.

For you L.Frank........even 97 years later your stories are too complex to enjoy. A sign you weren't a good writer. Thank God MGM bought one of your book.......the rest of the series would've been forgotten in the annuals of history.
