Porky is a 1 year old wild hog gone domesticated. Eleven months ago, Porky and his twin brother happened into a hog trap. Porky's brother managed to escape leaving Porky alone and scared in the trap. Porky was about 15" long, 12" tall and weighed about 15 pounds. We took him home with us. He grew very quickly and became gentle and very friendly. After a few months in a pen, we felt sorry for him and decided to set him free. He didn't go anywhere though and now he's our Pet.

  • This really made me smile.. and in parts I was laughing.. especially the run beside the truck.. no not a horse.. a pig that likes the run along side. Then when he rounds the corner for the home stretch.. lol.a little thirsty and tired after eh.. I love this Robert. Going into my Animals playlist.. too cute. I think Porky looks like quite a character. Its great having others in this film as well.. your wife Gayle for one.. what memories for you. Thanks for the smile..good job on this!Enjoyed lots

  • @cov01crew Hey Man, thanks for tunin in to my video here!! I sure appreciate it!!

Yeah, my best guess as to Porky's weight is 400 lbs!! Something like that...I don't think it's any less than that! Haha!! Thanks for the comment too man!!

  • @LoneStarCreekRanch WOW!!! 400lbs!!! That is immense!! t that weight, is Porky slowing down, or is he still fairly active as in this video?

In any case, I'll bet he can't come onto the couch when he comes in to watch "Dirty Jobs" ;-)

  • @momto8kiddos Haha!! Your too cool!! That was great! No, he can't get on the couch no more!! Haha!! And yeah, his weight has slowed him down a bit but, he'll still follow us around, but not for as long!! lol!! Thanks, that was GREAT comment!!

  • I love this hog! Is that a Dodge Cummins I hear?

  • PORKY WOULD MAKE A GREAT DINNER. UMM UMMM GOOD

  • I imagine a pig would make a great pet. They're socable and don't need much maintenance. Plus, their reputations as mega-omnivors make them a good form of organic waste disposal. Just think of howmuch landfill could be saved by giving table scraps to the house pig. And if you've got a garden patch, its plenty of free manure! I would say that a pig is an essential element for some wishing to make the most of the Recyle/Organic lifestyle.

  • Porky reminds me of my ex.. Just kidding.. he is cute..LOL

  • Why get a dog? We got this big things to keep us company. Awesome pig.

  • LOL - What a funny video. Don't know how I missed this one; but glad I found it. Was most entertaining to view. Needed something to laugh about after a long hard day's worth of work - like we had today. I used to feed wild feral cats from the woods and one day looked out and there was the ugliest dog I had ever seen eating their food - only it was a big fat wild boar. I took photos of him to prove to my landlord at the time that he had one visiting his apartment complex. ~ Patty
