  • I am so glad I came across your videos. I watched your Florida series – all 50 videos. Happy to see your NEW garden. I had just filled up some empty water jugs and added some compost to them. Capped them, but then saw your video – were you talked about putting the compost tea in a bottle, and how bad it smelled. so I quickly went out side and took the caps off. Thank you so very much for doing this. It’s like watching a LONG TIME friend’s videos .. You are such a sweet person.

  • @Suzihotbox Thank so much for the kind compliment! Search You Tube for good directions on how to make compost tea. It is important to keep it oxygenated. Thanks so much for watching!

  • Donna.. wow, Asheville, I loved it when I visited some time back.. enjoy your videos.. my first time commenting. Question: what materials did you use to make your greenhouse.. looks exactly like what I need.

  • @kittyhawk1027 Hey...I LOVE it here too! I feel very lucky! I picked up the greenhouse at Lowes.

  • Where are you going to put all your plants? Will you have to buy more containers?

  • Where in NC are you? I'm about 30 miles north of Raleigh.

  • You should try growing some tomatillos. I am trying them out this year. They germinate pretty well, within one week.

Also I think collards, turnips and mustards will do well in your zone.

I also let me weeds go wild, not intentionally, I just went out everyday for one week and pulled them by hand making sure to get the root so they won't come back then I put straw over the ground as mulch.

Thanks for posting this. I have been patiently waiting!

And what happened to the venus fly traps?

  • Thanks for the update Donna... I love all your videos.

  • YAY A NEW VIDEO!!!!! THANKS!!!!

  • Hi Donna I started thinking seriously about gardening when I watched your 1st video when you lived in Florida last year. By the end of video 50 I knew I would give it a try. I love it. Thank you. Im sure there are a number of people that you have inspired. Im also thrilled with the new videos.
