Yes, the black panther, which appeared in Fantastic Four #52 (I have an original and remember reading it when it came out in 1965 or so), fights for his African kingdom and is true to his people. "A hero is only a true hero if he is fighting for your cause". Black panther fights for his people and is cultural, that is why consciously or unconsciously he is so respected and revered by the black reading community. Thanks for the tribute! Black Panther is my favorite super hero although he gets so little exposure compared to other characters. He gets so litle exposure that people are underestimating his abilities, saying things like he can't beat the Thing, when he's fought to a stalemate aginst warriors like Capt. America, who's considered one of the greatest combatant of all time
