www.myseductivecuba.com Professional dancers performing Oggun in Havana, Cuba. Belong to a Cuban dance school in Vancouver - Cuban Salsa, Reggaeton, Afro-Cuban movements, Cuban Son etc.
No Ogun is not evil, what is evil are all the bad things that usually happen upon those who have Ogun as their spiritual angle, they usually have to be very careful in their lives because they have too many enemies, the Ogunda letter which is something those protected by Ogun has to go by in their daily lives states clearly that those protected by Ogun should not do certain things like go out at night after 9, they shoul not be in groups with more than three people etc (Ogun is a warrior)
Isnt it strange and wonderful that we are still keeping our folk music alive. Whether it is performed on the mother continent or in the Diaspora, the feelings and energy are the same.
Good work there. We hope to see the group in Ghana one day as part of our International African Community Music Festival, 2010.
