This is the Torpedo Video Projector first on a screen painted silver and then on a white sheet so that you can see the difference.

DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE and use a brush to paint the screen. I put the black out cloth on the frame first and then tried to paint it with a roller and there wasn't enough resistance for the roller to get the paint onto the fabric, so I switched to a brush. MAJOR MISTAKE as you will see. There are major streaks on the screen. I'll have to take the fabric off the frame and either replace it or try repainting it with a SPONGE ROLLER.

The paint I used was Behr Premium Plus LUMINOSO Silver. Comes in 31 oz plastic jars with a screw top. It's meant for faux finishes. It was the only silver paint I could find that wasn't stinky. Had to use non-stinky paint because we have pets and no garage, had to do this indoors. The Behr Premium Plus LUMINOSO Silver is a latex based paint.

  • I got one thought what the heck I was very surprised how good it was I brought a shower extantion rod and a white vinyl shower curtain to mak a screen for 15.00

its great for out door movie night. kids love it it was very clear. cant beat it for the price

  • I was wondering...how does that turn out in terms of "rear screen projection"? Have you ever viewed it from the "back" while projecting?

  • @JummahFilms the quality of the projector looks pretty decent! ive ready reviews of it being really awful quality, and i am looking for a pretty inexpensive projector for watching movies in a dorm room. is this good enough to watch movies w/o being distracted by bad image quality?

ps does it work with LAPTOPS?

  • @handbrakemaster It requires RCA Cables to connect to whatever device is outputting the video signals. If your laptop has such a configuration then it will work. Normally laptops do not have this. I think it's good enough to not be distracted. If it turns out you absolutely hate it, then return it and you're not out anything. I suggest getting a brighter bulb for it. See other reviews/videos here about that (including the comments) or use a search engine for more info. Best of Luck!

  • Why didn't you use Behr Silverscreen paint? Is the luminoso silver better?

  • @willbaguley9000 They are not the size of marbles. I have several other reviews of this projector including one showing the screen window effect up close...so please check my channel for the other vids. You can also see them at jummahtube dot c o m on the torpedo page.

  • @willbaguley9000 In order to help you better, please define "this".

  • If the PS3 uses standard RCA cables to connect to your TV then yes it will work. I don't know about gaming since I've never tried it for that. You might want to check around YT for other reviews, some may including gaming IDK.

  • Would this work with a PS3??? If so do you think it would be decent for gaming?

  • No but I will the next time I put it up . But it is a thick vinyl shower curtain.

  • I did notice there are two diffreant models i got the 100 its black and gray I seen a white one with a nob on the side so that could be the reason other people have problems maybe one is older model.
