"The Improbable Reign of Norton I, Emperor of the United States"
explores the life of Joshua Norton, the beloved San Francisco eccentric who in 1859 crowned himself Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico. The Improbable Reign" is a dreamlike and humorous portrait of Norton as he encounters 4 other historic San Francisco eccentrics.
