The eighth installment of The New York Racing Association, Inc.s (NYRA) Spotlight Series is now available on demand at NYRA.com and profiles NYRA Peace Officer Rudy Baffa.
Baffa, 83 years old and still going strong, has worked for NYRA for more than 30 years and is a familiar face and voice to patrons and employees at all three NYRA tracks. A nightclub vocalist in his native Brooklyn in the 1960s, the instantly recognizable Baffa sings as he patrols NYRAs buildings and grounds.
Created to give racing fans a behind-the-scenes look at the people who help NYRA racing operate smoothly on a consistent basis, previous Spotlight Series videos have featured Tim Kelly and Ed Brown, the clerk of scales and assistant clerk of scales, track announcer Tom Durkin, paddock judge Neal Cutrone, and the NYRA Stewards, Clockers, Horse Identification Department and On-Air Talent.
All eight of the Spotlight Series videos can be viewed by online at http://www.nyra.com/nyraspotlight/nyraspotlight.html and at NYRAs official YouTube site.
