  • Nice one. My dad used to have a '54 Capri with the factory Mexican Road Race motor in it way back before my time.

  • they actually called it the "Mexican Road Race motor" ??? i was reading up on them, but there history is difficult to look up compared to Mustangs, or Broncos, and i do know they raced them which was a shocker to me, i mean, a Ford or maybe a Mercury racing, but a Lincoln? i guess its advanced features and driveline made it a great racer, just seems odd, i wouldn't even think to race such a gem!

"Well if i had money, Tell you what I'd do, I'd go downtown and buy a Lincoln Capri or two!" :)

  • Yeah, Brent, these cars were raced in Baja California, Mexico. You have to be tough to win in these challenging conditions. I believe they also did well on the beach at Daytona before the speedway was built. One tough but beautiful cookie! Great vid, there Brent!! :) Jack

  • yeah the day went fine, in till the end, the dang cameras Lithium ion battery died on me! at least i got 90 percent of what i wanted to get, but next year i will have a spare battery just in case! but the average small time car shows this summer will not call on the battery as much as the 3000 car show! i was like a hunter in crowd of 3000 Deer, which one do i shoot? lol lol so many, i could have recorded easily 300 videos there, it was a trick to pick interesting subjects! i am just a amateur

  • Beautiful Lincoln! Lots of chrome :)

  • oh yeah the chrome sure did shine! it matched with the sun made it a very enlightening experience! :) lol lol also this is one rare ride, and it caught my eye (its looks caught my eye besides all the glare! lol) then i get home and read up more on it, see the description, and i am even more amazed at what Ford (Lincoln) had built in the early 50s! just amazing! and they even raced them! Cadillac can't even say that for the early 50s to my knowledge! there was always something about a Lincoln! :)

  • Beautiful Car :) Thanks

  • Overwhelming, isn't it Brent! So many to choose from...and what will be the most interesting! You did a great job on that one..off to a fine start! :) Jack

  • yeah i seen that Caddy as well, but i was so overwhelmed on what to film, this year memory in my camera wasn't the bother, my battery was! dang Lithium ion died out near the end of the day, i then had to pull out the not so trusty cell phone camera, that video will not turn out very good, ah well, i did get a good chunk of video, and luckily with this video and the rest i just have to post the raw footage, no editing, now the slide shows that i am making, is big time editing! :(

  • Nice video. I seen this car next to the caddy. They dont make them like that anymore.
