I understand everything pretty well. You did a good job of explaining this. But I'm kind of confused about the butt connectors. Can you explain this to me?

@WildBill1006 Hey no problem, had gotten a Street FX ElectroPods complete motorcycle kit 2 years back which came with six 6 led pods & two 6 led strips and it came with a 1 amp fuse with switch & just did the math & if the leds are .02 amps each(which I asked the manufacturer), totaling up to .96 amps with .04 amps to spare which is in normal range for using you led kit! So I started to make sure on all my stuff that I installed myself! Again not a porblem, glad to help out!

WildBill1006, hey hear 1 of the led pods fell, are you just using 3M tape to hold the pod and zip ties can't be placed to hold the wire right next to the pod so it can help hold the pod in place? I tend to use screws to hold things in place but I don't mind the holes due to my bike is paid off, but I do use zips to hold wires in place though.

@DarkFlight600 @DarkFlight600 30amp fuse is pretty serious mate. your 18G wires will have melted before that fuse even gets scared. Work out the gauge of the SMALLEST diameter wire (largest gauge number) in your circuit then compare it to a gauge/current chart. For example, if 18G was your smallest wire, you would be looking at about a 5 AMP fuse.

Good post!

thanks for the help! and my help to you is lite is spelt ''light''
Note on fuses for your leds, the standard led uses around 0.02 amps but no more than 0.03 amps but if its a 3 or 5 watt led they use roughly 0.084 amps per watt. So I use this formula: ((# of same type leds)*(amps of those leds))+(other leds on same line) then I round up to the next fuse type"ei:2.5,5,7.5,10,15,20, and so on" Oh, if anyone needs to use a 30 amp fuse for leds & if they used this formula they got to post a video of it. Again hope this helps!

@elementalblaze79 Thanks for the formula. Really. I had never done anything like this before and info was very hard to come by so everything was done by trial and error. That is why the 3M tape and zip ties. I think it came out very well all things considered but if I had to do it again. I believe I can and could do a much better job at it. Anyway thanks again

@02wheels oh I am working on that. I have added a stack in there already for a woodstove and just waiting on the stove. If it takes to long i will be getting a propane heater for now.
