I made this yesterday, it was delicious! I added sour cream to my bowl of soup for extra deliciousness.
The cumin seeds I had did not crack in oil, they started burning. I wonder why.

majula ji awesome recipe ....which daal have you used in this?? this does not look like moong or masoor? the moong /masoor i have at home are yellow but yours is dark brown??
