I have found that the two dancers are American born Kevin Haigen and Lynne Charles. Both are just spectacular and would certainly be candidates to live at the Court of the Goddess Venus as he is a god and she is a goddess...Both have a history with The American Ballet Theatre......so spectacular I can overlook the "moderness" of the movements.

Fantastic! I saw this years ago, live at the Bayreuth Festival! It was avant garde for that time period. Oh, my gosh! Venus removes her mask! Be still my beating heart! Thanks for the post.

This relatively current notion that preludes/overtures/sinfonia must be accompanied by dance is for the most part ANNOYING!!!
