Michael, you are probably the only beauty guru on You tube who cites peer reviewed journal articles!! As a science major I find this incredibly exciting! Thanks for putting so much care and research into your vids!

what to avoid: oxybenzone, retinyl palmitate, and any vitamin A additives. these have been known to speed up aging.
what to look for: zinc oxide, octisalate, and titanium dioxide in high % amounts.
shisheido makes an amazing suncare line. their PA+++ factor is among the best.

you can't combine numbers with sunscreen, but you can with sunblock. also, sunblocks cause a physical block which works instantly while a sunscreen (like you mentioned) does take about 15-20 minutes to cause that chemical reaction which will allow it to convert the harmful rays to something that is harmless to our skin.

I READ read the ingredients for some natural sunblocks like bagder I like it but I read it contains olive oil does that burn your skin I'm trying to prevent tanning I'm ghostly pale with platnium locks so when I tan I'm reddish :(

Thanks a lot for this video!!! it is been very very helpful . I have to avoid sun because I have sunspots so I have tried several SPF. your information about it is great. thanks again.you are great, and you know, I really like the way you pronounce English. I am from Europe, and though I understand and speak English sometimes it is difficult for me , but your english is fantastic, very clear and your pronunciation is great, I mean, I do understand almost everything. thanksss!!! :-)

Thank you so much for making all these great videos! Recently, people have told me that sunscreens contain carcinogens. Do you know anything about this?
-
Hi Michael. I totally agree with your about the aging effects of the sun and the necessity to use sunscreen ALWAYS on your face, hands and decolletage. However have you read the correlation between lack of exposure to the sun (i.e. Vitamin D deficiency) and cancer......so I think it has to be a careful balance between exposure and protection! x Subbed you....please check out my channel. I do a video on this subject

If you do happen to find a broad spectrum sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast and it's not heavy, please do inform us about it! :)

@DerrickMayFan I am loving Anthelios 60 by La Roche Posay. That is probably the strongest one that has a great finish. :D
