From March 1985. The SOLID GOLD DANCERS countdown the weeks top 10 songs. The #6 song "Mr. Telephone Man" was performed on stage by The New Edition. The #4 song was that week's video showcase the "Ooh Ooh Song".

If I am not mistaken, this is one of the few times (after season 1) where Pam is not in the front 2 lines. In this closing number she is in that far back right. How'd THAT happen??

  • Every time I see an episode hosted by Rick Dees, I can hear the collective sound of millions of people cringing in embarrassment. This was a great year for music and for Solid Gold though. I wonder if the dancers were ever like "get away from me" when he was on stage? I can see Darcell thinking that for sure

  • One of the best seasons. A great group of dancers, colourful stage, costumes and props, shame about the host.

  • I can't believe that I grew up with this garbage.

  • The only thing I hate is that I was only turning 4 years old at that time. I WISH I could have been born in 1975 so I could've been a tween, back then. A teen in the late 80's/early 90's & college in the mid 90's. That was a period when TV & music was en pointe!

Music was en pointe up until about 1996-1997.

  • @midelato - Y con commentarios como eso, personas como usted seran bloqueara por el gringo de canal.

  • I think all the girls who liked to dance wanted to be a SG dancer . . . and any guy with a pulse wanted to date them ! So, it was a popular show no doubt !

  • Brings back some good/happy memories. Thanks for posting.
