According to that Chris Morris biog from last year, this episode was to feature a phone call being made to the Krays in prison, but the Krays' reach being what it is, the production team got a visit from one their mobsters (with a baseball bat), even though filming was done in a secret location....

Grassed up is slang for putting someone in for a crime, betraying someone to a higher authority. But it can be used for more innocent things - grassing up to a teacher if someone did something dysfunctional in class etc.
