Very powerful. I've had a chance to look at the illustrated edition-- it's beautiful. I wish I had it when I first read the book.

I wonder if the lady who narrated this will narrate an audio book version of this? I would love that! She has an amazing voice. I wonder who she is?

This has been my favourite book! Laurence Hill has visited my school one time and I was very fascinated with every historical facts he told. The book makes me imagine a realistic world during its time periods.

A great book... beautifully written and an extremely touching story. One of the best books I've read. I hope it will soon be adapted into a movie.

I saw an interview with Lawrence Hill about his book, it's a fascinating story. In the Netherlands there was a book-burning (because of the title), and I think the title was also changed in the US. As a result of this video, I have ordered the illustrated edition with the Canadian title, and am very much looking forward to reading it.
