  • Yeah, not a great response.

  • @Yuna0316 its sooo racist/classist hahahaha

  • I'm just a hairy guy...Gimmie a head with hair... Sorry channeling the Cowsills. I've had people compliment me on my sweater... I'm not wearing a sweater. Hirsute, anyway I have never had an ingrown hair, while my brother gets them all the time. We have 3 differences in hygiene, I take very hot showers and use a bath brush I shave with an electric and use Lectric Shave. Just thought I'd pass that along, OK, guess I'll be runnin along. They'll be ga-ga at the go-go when they see me in my toga...

  • Laser hair removal doesn't work for every one...it depends on your hair and skin type...some really bad side-effects can occur.

  • Laser hair removal is expensive and doesn't always solve the problem, either way, using a product like Follique, which comes in a 6oz liquid or a roll on, works great whether you are African American or just have coarse curly hair or...if your hair is weak and gets stuck under the skin and forms an ingrown.

  • ...or depending on your ability to see and reach the area you can just take a needle and tweezers and get rid of them, it sucks this way, can be a bit time consuming and REALLY hard to explain if someone walks in on it by accident but it works for the most part and costs as much a tweezers and a needle.

  • that was one ugly waffle -barfs-

  • What disappoints me about this answer from "The Doctors" is they didn't even consider the increased dangers of laser hair removal on African American skin. Darker complexions pose a MUCH GREATER risk of hyperpigmentation &/or scarring. An experienced dermatologist who specializes in African American skin would be ideal (but even w/ an experienced Dr. there are no guarantees) as each person's skin responds differently. I would recommend not cutting too close to the skin & leaving stubble.

  • Just because you can't afford it, doesn't mean it's not a valid solution.

  • this doesnt fucking help. how about for someone who doesn't have a grand to spend on laser. people let me answer this. this comes directly from Mantic59 youtube user, a shave tutor of sorts. he says use a toothbrush on it the moment you feel the bump and it can ease out the hair if you do it often enough. also after shaving, use witch hazel, its a good astringent which helps combat ingrowns, and crushed asprin which has C. acid, crush with waterr and dab it on the ingrown. search mantic59
