Hey, great review! I was cosidering getting one but hesitated since none of the guys at my dept use it. Where do you carry this light, will a Mag c-cell ring do? I'm thinking the grenade grip might prevent the light from being pulled out of the ring swiftly. Thanx, be safe.

@rightfulcop The Mag Light that I used in this comparison has been upgraded with the Terralux LED upgrade. It works great now. But the Pelican is still what I use the most. It fits fine in the keeper ring. And you are right, the grenade grip does make a slight difference in getting the light out. Since I originally got the light, there are more people getting it at my station.

I'm currently working with a MagCharger and I love how rugged it is, but I'm considering switching to the 8060. How would you rate it on ruggedness? My dad is a cop and used the Mag for years and loved that if need be it could be his baton (one less thing to carry) Could the 8060 be used the same way?

@IrishTechGod I also have a MagCharger (although I purchased the 700 Lumen Terralux upgrade for it) The Mag is definitly "beefier" and has the 'feel' to it given the extra weight. With that said; the Pelican still has metal fins (heat sinks) at the end. Also, the Pelican feels more like a mace because the weight seems to be at the end because of the metal fins. I broke out a window with the Pelican on my first swing. (automotive glass). I feel fine using it as a baton.

With your experience, as a Police Officer, would you recommend this for a firefighter?

@xtremehardy388 Definitly, yes. This thing lasts forever on a charge and it rugged.
