One of the world's premier showcases for blues and roots music, Antone's is a beacon for both legends and newcomers alike. Founded by Clifford Antone over 30 years ago, the club has welcomed a "who's who" of blues greats to Austin, Texas and continues to inspire and nurture new musical talent. Featuring exclusive performance footage Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert Collins, Pinetop Perkins and many more, this extraordinary film captures the magic which has made Antone's "the nation's best blues club" (USA Today).

Who's that joker saying the blues is all about sex and it's pelvic? Which blues? Whose blues? His blues, maybe!
Go read Adam Gussow's "Seems like Murder Here: Southern Violence and the Blues."

The DVD is in my collection. I love it. As all of the other comments here state, Clifford was a gent and one hell of a nice guy. I had hot dogs with him, well obviously at the hot dog joint near campus one afternoon by his record store and where the old Antones was at one time.. He was happy and upbeat, then soon after he was.... Miss him.

I met Clifford at a film festival in Mississippi. He was fascinating and a complete gentleman. He had that look in his eyes, though. He'd made a deal at the crossroads too, I bet!

Clifford was a very soft spoken and good heart person. I used to see and talk to him (and thanks to him, I got an autograph by Kim Wilson of the Fabulous Thunderbirds), when I did security work at Towers of Townlake, where he lived. He'll be missed.
