I love this. It sounds almost like rock, or "emo", and then you listen and you hear that it's Nickel Creek blasting away on their bluegrass instruments. :D

Don't waste your pretty sympathy, she's gonna be just fine. And Helena, so will we. So will everything in time. (Pssh yeah right.) Just like everyone else, I too feel such a raw personal connection to this song. It hits a nerve. But that's good.

This song describes someone everyone knows or is at one point in their lives. We've either been Helena, the girlfriend, or the one singing this tune. It's brutal, but that's why I love Nickel Creek and bands who speak the truth. I don't care about rollin' on spinners or whatever you call them. Real music addresses real issues. It touches your soul, your heart, it can shed light on that dark corner in your life. THIS is real music.
