@halo22able - It was a double whammy...he was a last-min replacement for the regular sportscaster, and to top it off, whoever was running the teleprompter couldn't control it and had it running at a faster-than-normal speed.

this is referred to as 'the collins incident', basically everything went wrong for the guy. the teleprompter was being operated by an amateur who fastforwarded through the words, and his papers were hopelessly out of order. i respect him for going through with it and not just leaving.
but yeah, it's pretty painful to watch!
