@califsurferdude1 I think the closest Fillipina to get there was Lea Salonga, but she targetting the theatre scene and not mainstream. Anyway you should also check out Julia Abueva who dueted with Lea before and is a star on the horizon...

There are 2 Filipino Icons that I admire a lot. 1 is Manny Pacquiao and this girl Charice!:) Manny has proven a lot of things he has a couple more fights left. And the next to carry the banner of our country in the international stage is this girl right here! Stay humble baby girl and always remember it's always GOD 1st and that's what makes us strong as Filipinos. GOD, FAMILY, CULTURE and THE REFUSAL TO QUIT!:)
