McKenna always speaks about direct experience! I suggest some weed or shrooms for the novice to introduce the body to the spirit. Taking acid or dmt your first time could be a bit overwhelming to say the least.

DMT (which can be extracted from plants) occurs naturally in your brain, it's in your penile gland in your brain which is also known to be the chakra center. DMT even in the highest doses can't affect your physical state. What "might" be harmful is synthetic DMT which works in the same way through harsh chemicals. You can't get stuck in psychosis (which is the medical term for a forever lasting trip) with even synthetic DMT. I've been studying this.
