Edited with Openshot 1.4 under Ubuntu 11.04. This Video was made for a talk i gave in SLUN11.
it was shown to give a better idea of what Krita is able to do. This video shows the "multibrush" tool with symmetry activated.
feedback and comments are always welcome

More info:
Krita is a KDE program for sketching and painting, offering an end--to--end solution for creating digital painting files from scratch by masters.
Fields of painting that Krita explicitly supports are concept art, creation of comics and textures for rendering.

  • Man its awesome!

I'm a beginner in krita and totally lost. I hope someday i can manage to use it as skillfuly as you do.

Can anyone give me a tip about how to start? I dunno even how to size the brush Oo

  • @setsunameyou Thanks. first tip is press Shift and then Drag the stylus . You will change the size in real time. be careful with to reduce the brush to 0 size, :D

  • @TheShockito Coool! Thanks. And why do you have so much more presets than I?

  • @setsunameyou maybe because i am always creating presets and deleting them if not good. Lot of testing. happy painting!

  • you should do concept art for the new blender open movie project!

mango dot blender dot org :)

  • @JimmyonGER i contacted them offering my services, but rejected. and nowadays even whith pressure they seem to be not interested in my services for now.

  • @TheShockito is there somewhere we can download some presets? Maybe yours or someone else you recommend? Thank you.

  • Excellent ! Thank you, I love Krita and I think it deserves more visibility.

Videos like yours contribute a lot to that, then people like me can, blog about them, share them on FB and social media, and spread the word...

  • That is one fantastic imagination!

  • Man I wish gimp and other painting programs had that mirror function.

  • @TheShockito there are 2 categories team art and community art. you can inspire the people and dont need to offer theservice, just paint :)

    Anyways, great images!
