Ending extreme global poverty is not only possible, it's
probable. And soon — in our lifetime.

Skeptical? Give yourself 10 minutes as Dr. Scott Todd,
a skeptic turned advocate, gives clear and compelling
evidence on why extreme poverty is on its way to the

I donate to charities but when I do, I look at where the money is going if too much/ if any of it is going to religious education when it could be going to feeding and sheltering people I choose another organisation. I flicked through this video but did in any point did he say how poverty could be reduce?

Here at 58:, we can't deny that eliminating extreme poverty is a complicated issue. We work with our Alliance members to address multiple aspects-- disaster relief, safe water, childhood development and education, environmental stewardship, food security, microenterprise support, public policy changes, and more. I'd like to invite you to live58.org to see all the different ways we are working on ending extreme poverty.

Good message, terrible video, recording stops every few seconds, makes it difficult to watch. I've tried different posts, via Facebook & YouTube, all have same problems; so I don't want to share & post on Facebook. Is there a way to fix/improve this?

Nice guy, but it's disappointing that he found a Biblical contradiction, proclaimed that his God didn't want people to suffer, documented that they have and do suffer, recounted all that has changed that - all attributable to science, and didn't become an atheist. :-) But what he's talking about is the right thing to do in and of itself, and you don't need to be a believer to do it. He's preaching the same message as atheist Bill Gates - making the world a better place than you found it.

Poverty is far more complex than merely a physical issue. Spiritual poverty is a reality as well and changing someone's outlook on their own life is just as important as providing for their material needs. The majority of scientific innovations throughout history have been made by Christians. It's no coincidence that the gospel transforms hearts as well as minds.

How can anyone with any level of conscience possibly dislike this message?!?

Do you really need that extra $5 cup of coffee today, or would you rather donate that money to the poor, and go home knowing you probably saved a life somewhere today instead?

Those 11 dislikes might be from people that are against believers and God.

ok I'm in. As I teach my family and try to get them on board, have you considered a short film for the children who obsess over the latest and greatest toy ( like my children)? That would also help.

Appreciate the work and moving video.

Proverbs 14:31 “He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”

1 John 3:17 “If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?”
