Martin Luther was evil.

The 60s ecumenical council forced by the pope in Vatican II has been a disaster for protestants and their families. Catholics are taught that this was a move to protestantize their religion (lol!), and that protetantism is "liberalism." In reality, is was in tandem with the open S. border (Hart-Celler Act) with catholic creation of "liberation theology" to incite immigrants against anglos (protestants). Protestants in u.s. need to learn their history. Foxe's Book.

It is truly amazing that the book of Revelation, as it is properly interpreted using the Historicist method (which the majority of the Reformers used), actually encourages the study of church history: both its accomplishments, as well as its failures.
Soli Deo Gloria!

martiebaby, I have many PDF books on this topic written long ago.. if you would be interested.. send me a message!
The Great Controversy by Ellen G. White (my favorite) is a good historical perspective leading up to and understanding a final completion of the protestant reformation. Also for a larger church history perspective but some what more expensive is The Prophetic Faith of our Fathers, by Le Roy Froom which is a 4 volume set.

Agreed. I don't consider these two books to be exhaustive works. I'm merely pointing out core truths that are not addressed by many other works.
Thanks for the post.
