PC classic from 1995 by id software (original Doom was released in 1993 by id software).

Simply being one of computer game history's major milestones, there would be enough to talk about here - but this should not be necessary due to Doom's great popularity, extent of fame and impact on modern pop culture. Seriously, if you've never played Doom you can't consider yourself a gamer, if you've never heard about it, you must have avoided any kind of computers till this day =)
Enough said.

In this video, Doom is upgraded by the Doomsday port, an additional high-resolution texture pack and a high-quality game soundtrack.

This video features the second level (Nuclear plant) of the first episode (Knee-deep in the dead).

Funny thing. This game attracts me by its FPS and epicness, yet pushes me away for the scary shit in it. Its probably all that epic coming from the game itself.
