Bill Simmons of ESPN predicted in March of 2009 exactly what did happen to Conan in January of 2010. Jay Leno is a hopeless applause junkie who hung around the NBC lobby and conspired to hurt Conan's ratings by doing a show at 10 PM to syphon away the best guests. Leno is played out in my opinion and now has ruined his reputation and damaged the "Tonight Show" brand. NBC is a rudderless ship.
