  • When this song came out my dad was in the Air Force, we had moved to Turkey in 1964 and could only get Parlophone records. This song was only available on Capitol records. I didn't even know it existed. We came back from Turkey in 1966. Around 1974 I had a friend that was a Beatle freak like me and we were listening to Beatles VI and he played this song. I had never heard it before; it was like listening to a brand new Beatles song.

  • John Lennon knocked off great songs like this in his sleep... they wrote A Hard Day's Night in a single day... these guys had great songs falling out of their pockets as they walked down the street

  • @geoffk54 Imagine how it is for a 15 year old like myself and finding about these songs 40 years after they were released.

I guess it sucks that this generation's music and just overall society sucks, but still.

  • OR"" can't buy me love

  • @HornsbyHavoc Your right the first part is this boy i think the last is money can't by me love .

  • At least, for the first part they're playing "This Boy." Any ideas about the second part?

  • If anybody's interested, they're playing "This Boy" in the video.

  • three part harmony by the best boys in the business

  • I never thought the Beatles ever got enough credit for their harmony singing, but they were wonderful. This song is a great example.Singing and playing an incredibly intricate song (listen to the guitar triplets played while singing) under conditions today's "super stars" would never tolerate.

  • @brianallancobYes i agreed, dont get me Ticket To Ride was quite good compare to the rubbish out today, just show you richness of the music in those days, The Beatles are my Number One, but when you think of other good bands like The Kinks, some of the Stones, The Who etc. etc. etc. quaility music that would never happened again

  • @MegaJohncoffey

Much better than "Ticket To Ride", a song I thought repetitious.
