i really love this game, I think Riddick series games are one of the best games I ever played. It has a good story, interesting gameplay, personally I like the Escape from Butcher Bay better then this, because it has better gameplay - quest type. Assault on Dark Athena has half game like a quest, thinking game not just shooting and going through (I love it) and other half is completely shooting and going through. Butcher Bay almost all game is about the smart ways to approach the level, not about shooting and using only one way to finish the game.
However, there is some people, who would like to just shoot and move.
Games alows you to control multiple units(like robots), use bunch of weapons on your choice.
Both games are fantastic, The Chronicles of Riddick - Assault on Dark Athena was released on 2009, Escape from Butcher Bay was released on 2004(Doom iii times). Personally when Escape from Butcher Bay was released I thought it using a Doom III IDTech4 engine but I was wrong. However, for both games, I think that Unreal Technology engine will be ideal, but as again, they made their own engine, which is rendering characters well(even the first game) and have a good lighting and shader programming.
Both games are quest, silent kill or shoot them all type.
If you will buy both of them, you will not be disappointed, both games have the elements for every gamer out there.
