Thanks Wally. I really struggled with the Richter note placement chromatics for a while, because I was playing in second position and everything I've seen says play 'em in 2nd. About a month ago, I noticed Borrah Minevitch, Johnny Puleo and all these guys were playing them in first, then I started working on first and it all fell into place. It really opens a whole new world when you play it in first position. It's really, I think, a first-position instrument.
