Cool thing that he waved to the people lol
A good reminder that (we) pilots are not robots :)

I just have a question. If they tell us as passengers to turn off all portable electronic devices, why do the pilots have theirs on? I enjoy watching these videos and getting a different view. I would just like a reason behind it.

Question.... when they set power did they say MAN FLEX XX SRS or was it MAN TOGA SRS (I dont speak french)? I was wondering if they used an assumed temperature or did they go Max thrust for takeoff, cause acceleration and rotation seemed rather brisk!

@CKY139 right man, they set and said MAN TO/GA SRS... caus in sxm the runway used is in front of a montain and the hard right turn just after t/o requires a max thrust, so to/ga is used...

ok so they arrive on july 2nd 2009 and left st maarten july 3rd 2009 cause no pilot would be able to do a 16 hours rountrip flight . but here's where something is wrong the tail numbers are the same on both vid how is that possible ? AF A340 F-GNII could not have been there on july 3rd 2009 as it would be en route to paris on july 2nd the other pilots at the hotel take over the other shift back to paris while these guys were resting for this flight , please explain .... 0_o

@Damienm7 we arrived with F-GNII on July 2nd at around 4 pm, it took off back to CDG with another crew near 6 pm, it arrived at CDG on July 3rd near 6 : 30 am, it took off again to SXM near 10 : 50 am, and arrived there at around 4 pm (on Julyt 3rd), and then we took off with it back to CDG near 6 pm... it just did CDG-SXM twice days...!
