My comment is awaiting approval....I understand that..what I don't understand is how the comment suggesting that 'Michael Jackson was a child preditor' has been allowed...I find that sad, when theres no proof out there to suggest this...so sad...

@jo12jo12 - because everyone has the right to their own opinion - as long as the language is not too offensive, I've been allowing pretty much any point of view - just making sure it's age appropriate for the majority of the audience

as much as i dislike biebers songs i am happy for him that he made his dream come true..beeing only 17, i want to ask something that bugs me..you said that u are 50 or so.so cought the Floyds golden years, the Fab-Four, The Who, Dire Straits and so on.in your oppinion, was music back then more intended for the sake of art or just as marketable as it is today? i am horrified of what i hear on the radio, and it seemes people forgot what music is all about..many thanks, Alex.

@virusAlex20 - ha - no, I'm only 36 so I have grown up completely in the world of music for profit at all costs era - digital production, autotune, and "club bangers" have mostly killed off the artists with pure raw talent in favor of the artists with the "right look" and "at least enough talent" that are willing to do what the machine tells them to do - the sad part is that it has happened to all genres from rock to rap to country and everything in between - I always prefer indie artists myself

The sad truth is that even though his guitar playing, singing, & dancing might have been what got him discovered, they chose not to keep that formula going. Think back to boy bands that were popular when we were kids like New Edition & New Kids On The Block. Even today, that is still music that lasts because back thwn it was all about selling the MUSIC. As much as I hate to say it to you because I know you are a father of 2 girls, they are not selling his music, they are selling SEX!!!!!!!

@landyachtfan79 - as much as I somewhat agree with you, 90% of the music business over the last 40+ years has been about selling sex at some level - whether it's school girl infatuation with teen boys because they're "hot" or full-on sexual innuendo that a lot of rock/hip hop acts portray. I filter all content (and I do mean all) my children see/hear so until JB becomes more than a mostly innocent teenage kid on the radio, I'll allow it. He's a far better role model than I was at his age.
