  • buy a race car , then see how boring it is ... till then shut the fuck up

  • This reminds me of a classic aussie quote: "If it's got wheels, put a v8 in it". Even though it was a shame to lose the diversity there's still some great racing between these guys

  • If anyone wants this song, go to the Peter Brock website and look for 'the Bathurst national anthenm'.

  • Brucer, i couldn't have put it better myself. i agree with you 100%

  • A sad day for Australian motorsport when it became an organised circus of taxi racing. The true fans think it's a case of Ford vs Holden, but the cars are nobbled to be equal to each other. It's ironic that the car that made everyone cry and change the rules for being too good is now the poster-child for adolescent teenagers all over Australia. No I'm not talking about some wheezing holden or Ford with a 1950's motor, I'm talking about the Skyline GTR.

  • When it became a Ford and Holden race it bought to mind a Yank comedian who said of Nascar. 'Who gives a shit, it's the same 5 rednecks who win anyway'. Spoiled it for me the day the great man died, even tho' he WAS retiring/retired.

  • Yeah I spose, Aussies have always been fuckin dumb, so they would love a dumb race.

  • It's a race that symbolises and gives a chance for rival factions, Ford Australia and Holden, to duke it out. It's an Australian race, for Australian cars. I think it's one of best 'working' forms of motor sports there is.

p.s. 888 will take it out this year!
