The next day in the hospital.
A/N. Selena can't be visited right now because they're running tests on her and shes in the psyche ward, so Joe is going to visit Demi in her hospital room.
Joe: Hey, how are you doing? Rough night, huh?
Demi looks away from the small television and sits up with a smile. Joe drags a chair over and sits next to her.
Demi: Yeah... Did you go home last night to sleep?
Joe: No, I've been up all night here.
Demi: What?!
Joe: Yeah! I don;t need sleep. *in a really low manly voice* ~I am mountain man~.
Demi shakes her head and laughs.
Demi: So, hows Selena doing?
Joe: Shes--
Joe is interrupted by a loud beep. He jumps onto his chair and looks nervously around the room.
Joe: What the heck was that?!
Demi: I don't know, it's been doing that every 5 minutes. I think it's a machine they didn't tell me I'm hooked up to.
Joe: *looks around some more* Oh! Its your cell phone!
Demi: My cell phone?! Oh! That makes sense I guess
Joe jumps up off of the chair and picks up her phone. He starts to bring it to Demi, but not before he opens it and looks at it.
Joe: Whoa! 14 missed calls! And 6 voicemails! Jeez, Miss Popular! I'm lucky if I get one voicemail a month! And i'ts always from my mom!
Demi: *laughs* Who are they all from?!
Joe: Idk! You check!
Demi: Idk? Who they heck says that out loud?!
Demi starts listening to them.
Joe: Put it on speaker!!
Demi does, and they both listen to all of Nick's voicemails. By the time it gets to the last one, Demi has a tear rolling down her cheek.
Joe: That kid has seriously gotta stop watching Operah.
Demi doesnt laugh, just silently closes her phone.
Joe: Hey, you know, if you and Nick get back together, your celebrity couple name would be Dick!!
Demi: *in a serious voice* We're not going to get back together.
Joe: Never ever?
Demi: Never.
Joe: Ever?
Demi: Ever.
Joe: Never ever?
Demi: Yup.
Joe: Never never ever ever never ever ever ever?
Demi: Joe!
Joe: Sorry.
Demi rolls her eyes and rolls over onto her side away from Joe.
Joe: I have to make a call.
Joe starts to walk out of the room with his phone pressed to his ear.
Joe: Hi, can you connect me to YouTube?
Someone puts their hand on Joes shoulder in the hallway. Joe turns and looks at them. He smiles and hangs up the phone.
??: Heeeyyy...... *in a sexily voice*
Joe: Heeyyy......
??: Hows Selena?
Joe: Oh you know...... Sleeping *winks*
??: *giggles and bats eyelashes* So do you wanna..... You know..... Hang out?
?? runs their finger up and down Joes arm.
Joe: Oh, Kevin! *slaps his arm* You dirty little boy!
Kevin: Ha, ha, ha. How ya doing man?
Joe: You know.... Okay taking into account that I havent slept and drank * in a crazy voice* six pots of COFFEE!!!!! What are you doing here anyways? Youre supposed to be in Canada.
Kevin: No they put it on hold in hopes you and Demi would come back.
Joe: How long are they going to wait?
Kevin shrugs.
Kevin: I think you're down to one more month. But, really, if you guys are planning on coming back, don't put it off anymore. You're pushing your luck.
Joe: I just can't right now, Kev, okay? Lets just not talk about it.
Kevin understandingly nods and him and Joe go down to the cafeteria to get some more coffee. (HA! Like Joe needs anymore) As they are standing in line, two redheads start walking towards them.
Joe: *to Kevin* ~The gingers are coming! The gingers are coming!~
Kevin: *punches Joe in the arm* Joe! Be nice!
Joe: I'm sorry, man! Just remember, 6 pots of coffee! SIX! Pots, man, POTS!!!!
Ginger1: *grabs Joe and twirls him towards her* I have pot.
Joe: Wahuh?!
Ginger1: You were screaming something about pot, and I have some. If you know what I mean *winks*
Joe: Ummmmmhhh.... I like your red hair!
Ginger1: ~ITS ORANGE!~ *gets all up in his face*
Joe: *puts his hands up* Okay, dont get all up in my hizzy about this!
Kevin: Well..... We're going to go now....
Ginger2: *gets down on her knees* Were sorry, OKAY?! It's just when I was 31/2 my parents got a divorce, and 4 years ago my boyfriend broke up with me and today I found out he has another girlfriend! And her lizard died last week *points to Ginger1*, and today I was eating gummy worms with faces on them and Im vegan so it was just terrible. *grabs Joes legs* TERRIBLE!!

Joe turns with a smile.
Joe: One pot please!
Hehe! Hope that wasnt offensive to any red heads out there but on our camping trip there was this one guy. That was a ginger.. And he was scary. *shudders*
