http://www.karenscookies.net - These cookie texture mats aren't just for rolled fondant and candy clay! Yes, it's easier to get a defined design with those techniques, but you can actually get some great results from meringue powder buttercream as well! With some practice you can do this with ease! Have fun!

  • Awesome, Karen! This is a neat idea.

And I agree...you do have gorgeous nails.

  • @paigeofpearls Awww, thanks Rachel! :D You need to come to I.F. so we can play with cookies!

  • I know this has nothing to do with your video...but I love your nails! Do you have any paint on them?

  • @jackiexgrace My poor, abused nails! They actually do look ok in the video, but in person they're pretty thrashed! I was fortunate enough to inherit good nails from my mom, but I don't take very good care of them. I've never had a manicure, and the last time I painted them was probably 10 years ago! I'm glad they look ok, though! :D Thanks!

  • I love your videos Karen. I've neve done cookies from scratch. Are they hard or soft when baked? Also, I only have a hand mixer. Will I be able to make the dough with it? thanks

  • Another fabulous training video...I love it - thanks so much!
