this is my most favorite opening/closing ceremony ever. It is simple, yet abstract and advanced. Beijing was just way too over the top and had too much of an "ooh, ahh" factor to it. I still like beijing's ceremonies, but seoul is just way better.

I remember this as child and that there was a threat of a bomb, or something like that(perhaps even a radical group in South Korea at that time). I also remember short track speed skating was not yet an official event then and there was a push for it to become one at the time.

Korea has perhaps the best olympic shows but too bad they are notorious as a bad tempered people. I still remember that Korean boxing coach who hit the referee.
