Planet of the Daleks - Episode 6 Remake

A remake of all the secens with the Supreme Dalek in "Planet of the Daleks".

The background sets are from the Action Figure Theatre website.

how did you do the flashing ears?

@android65mar Well first I had to duplicate the photos so that I have one set of photos with flashing lights and another set with out. By using the quick mask tool on Photoshop I select the lights and set the brightness to +100.

Then using an editing software with 2 video/image time lines (I use Pinnacle) I placed the non-flashing images on 1 line and the flashing images on the line that overlaps.

I hope you can understand what Im trying to say cause its a bit complicated to explain. :S

I have just seen this video for the first time,and I think it's really cool.Although the Daleks' voices

didn't sound evil enough to me.

Apart from that,a really brilliant effort.

Yeah I know the voices ant that good. Its because I dont have the ring modulator (HOG) that people use for Dalek voices. Theyre difficult to find in shops.

A very impressive piece of animation. I'm impressed with the light/voice synch which I simply cannot achieve in my animations.

@MsipmsonW Blimey and I thought it was complicated enough with 3d graphic programmes. I can see why a lot of the people who animate Dalek action figures don't bother with the lights. I was pleased that you did. Much impressed with the extermination effect, definitely a 5+.
