(1/4) Wario's Party - Story Mode - Mario Party 4

Man... think about how birthdays would be if run by these guys' logic?

Mario Party 4! That's... the first one on GameCube. I only just now got it. Why? 'Cause I'm cheap! I didn't have much incentive to pay full price when it first came out and I certainly wasn't handing out 30 or more dollars to buy it used (It just now dropped to 20 bucks at GameStop, apparently)! I got it for six bucks, free first-class shipping. Not bad, eh?

So... what's this then? This will show you all the special story mini-games that you need to clear once you complete a map in Story Mode. Each Mario baddie host has one (Shy Guy, Koopa, Boo, Goomba) and Toad. Also, you'll see all the presents that Wario wins throughout. They each have a fun little animation, too.

Toad's "Bowser Bop" (START)

This one's simple: Whack a Mole! Bowser style. At the expense of your room. (Seriously, if somebody remodeled my house like this, why I'd...!)

Anyhow, the poor little fella doesn't stand a chance, look at how slow he moves about! That big ol' hammer must be quite the thing for one of his stature to be luggin'! This was my FIRST try, which kinda explains the bit of lacking on my part as well.


Toad's Present - "Wario's motorbike" (1:56)

Shy Guy's "Archaeologuess" (2:38)

This is a fun one! I had NO idea what he was talking about in the instructions, but once I saw it in action, all was clear! Well, not necessarily which shape to pick, but that's the game!

Again, first try, be kind. It was a close one though!

Here we are with our first game of chance! Makes sense, seeing that Goomba, here, is a gambling man, er, 'shroom-thing! There's no way to influence the outcome of this match, all up to lady luck as our fanged fella here would say.

That said, how'd he get a perfect set of three right off the bat? Seriously dude, smells like an "Ace up the sleeve" does. Managed to smother 'im on my second try, though! Oh, and notice how Goomba attacks just like he does straight out of "Paper Mario"? Nice touch.

Anyway I think it was a cool idea that during Story Mode you had to beat the hosts themselves for one last mini game. They should do that again if they ever make another Mario Party.

I hate how they changed Baby Bowser to koopa kid, ahhh I love mario party 1-8 and DS (although 8 was my least fav)
