When rhinoplasty is performed by a qualified plastic surgeon, complications are infrequent and usually minor. Nevertheless, there is always a possibility of complications, including infection, nosebleed, or a reaction to the anesthesia. You can reduce your risks by closely following Dr. Kim's instructions both before and after surgery.

After surgery, small burst blood vessels may appear as tiny red spots on the skin's surface; these are usually minor but may be permanent. As for scarring, when rhinoplasty is performed from inside the nose, there is no visible scarring at all. With the "open" technique, or when the procedure calls for the narrowing of flared nostrils, the small scars on the base of the nose are usually very hard to see.

It is reported that in approximately one case out of ten, a second procedure may be required-for example, to correct a minor deformity. Such cases are unpredictable and happen even to patients of the most skilled surgeons. Dr. Kim's revision rate is very low however the possibility for a revision always exists for any surgeon. The corrective surgery is usually minor.

Good communication between you and your physician is essential. In your initial consultation, Dr. Kim will ask what you'd like your nose to look like, evaluate the structure of your nose and face, and discuss the possibilities with you. He will explain the factors that can influence the procedure and the results. These factors include the structure of your nasal bones and cartilage, the shape of your face, the thickness of your skin, your age, and your expectations.

  • @Matfx7 No this IS a hair style. Shaving that part of a girls head is a popular hair style. The head bands and stuff have nothing to do with the section of her head thats shaved. Its a hair style, it just doesnt suit her at all.

  • @michellenn93 It is mandatory for doctors and patients to wear head bands to avoid any infection during surgery. Look at 1:32 all 3 of them wore head bands and she had some black strap sticked to her head may be some kind of pain sensor. The doctor washed his hands at 1:47. The hair cut is not a style, it is meant to avoid any infection like dandruff that could fall in the nose during surgery otherwise the doctors and patients wouldn't had those head bands.

Even a cook will wear a long hat.

  • Ummm, why is the side of her head shaved? That looks retarded. And does not suit her at all.. Now that you've fixed your nose, fix your hair!
