Supercooled water hq

Just a vid of us playin with supercooled water.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN:
1st-You'll need a bottle of Purified water
2nd-You'll need a freezer
3rd-You'll need patience

Ok take your bottle of unopened purified water and put it in the freezer for about an 1hr30min - 2hrs..now it should be supercooled water. Put some ice cubes in a bowl or cup and pour the water directly on it..BOOM u just made supercooled water :D!
If it is frozen when u take it out of the freezer try again make sure your gentle when taking it out and ur chances are prob better if you put it in standing up and not on its side..

P.S my freezer was set to around -2F

You know when you take the bottle of water out of the freezer right after you just froze it a bit and you smack it on the bottom it will slowly (about 30 sec) will turn into supercooled water without opening the bottle. It will be mostly slush so it will be drinkable too.

It’s caused by supercooling. A liquid below its freezing point will only crystallize in the presence of a seed crystal or nucleus around which a crystal structure can form.

A regular glass of tap water will freeze at the normal temperature because the solution contains tiny particles of dust and dissolved gas, but A smooth container of distilled water can be cooled before freezing occurs automatically.

By taking the bottle out of the freezer and shaking it, you are allowing nucleation.
