David was born to sing..... had vocal chops that surpassed all others..... no amount of training could produce the art he displayed in a song....there are many good and talented singers, but David was both gifted and talented... when teamed with the other Temps. it was a plan designed from Heaven... nothing was by accident,... all, is Heavenly planned ... I thank God for the Temptations, as special thanks to Otis William the dream was given to him, hat's off to a vocal giant David Ruffin.

Hey folks! no Reverb on this one! just Raw Crooning! DAM! this just proves just how these brothers could really SING!!!! Artist today would be afraid to sing this RAW~ Like singing on a street corner no fancy voice machines just Nature all NATURALLL ! Dam the Temptations were and still are some singing, excuse my french! singing,sanGING! Mother Fuvkers!!

Great song and post, and yes, a forgotten gem. I had the unforgettable privilege of seeing the Tempts first live performance of this tune at Ryder College NJ, just before Thanksgiving in '67. The whole show was over the top awesome, and the original 5 were at the peak of their performing power and popularity. This song was the followup to "You're My Everything" and anyone who was lucky enough to be there saw Eddie's best performance ever.

my fav temptations track took me years to get the single and some on dropped it and it cracked still plays tho lolol but no need just listen to this thanks for the post
