A SLIder person shows how he is turning off and back on again a mercury vapor lamp at an apartment complex, while the lamps on the apartment story level above and below are on all the time. This demonstrates it is the person that is influencing the bulb lamp itself somehow by body emanations (i.e. radio waves or electromagnetic).

  • this is not psychic phenomenon. anyone familiar with high pressure sodium lamps will tell you. when the bulb is nearing the end of its life it will cycle off and on like this.

  • Strange. I played in a band years ago, and there was a guy in it who'd make the mikes squeal and feed back whenever he passed them on stage. We used to get amps blowing all the time too. It ended up where we had to keep him away from things as much as possible. He wasn't allowed to adjust amps, or plug anything in and so on.

  • SLIders are just people who are overly observant and tend to notice patterns.

    I am one also.

I belive I do not make the lights go on or off.

I just notice them more than others.

When 3-5 lights go out on a 20 minute drive it does make me curious but I still believe its just im more aware of these things

  • Hey, Its good to see there are finally people talking about this. I too am an "electric person". About 5 years ago I couldn't find anything about this on the internet. I was typing all sorts of things into google but never found a thing. Now, that I found some author coined the phrase "SLIders"(Street Lamp Interference) I've just now gotten to see there are many others. None of my buddies believed me until one night I showed them HARD EVIDENCE. They didn't know how to respond. Felt good!
